We have a monthly email that will keep you updated with video additions to our video library, but it will also include some tips and tricks and ways to stay in the game.

What grade levels are your videos recommended for?

Our videos were created with elementary age students in mind. However, we have found that the content is suitable for a variety of levels, including being used with youth programs, social workers, school psychologists, and even the occasional grandparent!

No, these videos are meant as a supplementary to your SEL curriculum. They pair well with Second Step, Changing Perspectives, Navigate 360 just to name a few.

What is Social Emotional Learning (SEL)? And why is it important in the classroom?

SEL is the process of developing the skills to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.

SEL helps students improve student emotional intelligence, build stronger relationships, and enhance one’s ability to manage stress, which can lead to better academic performance, improved behavior, and healthier social interactions.

Do I need to be an SEL expert to use these videos?

No! Our videos are designed to be user-friendly for educators and those who work with children at all levels. We are also working to soon provide supplementary resources and lesson plans to help guide you in using the videos effectively with your students. Our videos are meant to be supplementary to your SEL curriculum, they are not meant to take the place of a curriculum.

Are there any accompanying resources or materials with the videos?

Yes, we are feverishly working to provide you with supplementary materials, like worksheets, discussion prompts, games and activities, and reflection questions to help deepen students’ understanding of the concepts presented. Currently there are downloadable posters available to encourage and prompt the unique catchy phrases to develop the language of emotional intelligence.

Can these videos be used with students who have special needs?

Yes, the videos are designed with inclusivity in mind. We offer a variety of formats (e.g., captions, translations, visual aids) and adaptable content that can be tailored to support diverse learning needs. It is based in concepts that most students with special needs are already familiar with if they have received OT and PT services, so students find that they quickly become the experts in the room as the others are taught common language used level 2 and 3 supports of your MTSS program.
